The Steinbeck Coast Area Team holds a number of events during the year for all AFS students. Many of these events are mandatory for the AFS student to participate. In addition, each chapter or local area will also hold events in their community.

AFS Holiday Party, 1pm - 4pm, Prunedale Grange Hall, Mandatory for all students. Everyone is invited. AFS Student Talent Show. Potluck lunch. |

Americans Abroad Orientation, at Monterey Institute International Studies, 9:30am - 3:30pm. Mandatory for all students going abroad in 2010 |

Annual end-of-year picnic for everyone, including new host families. Mandatory for AFS students, 12-4 pm, Location: TBD
